Our Story

In 2012, Dr. Blake McKinney had an idea. He often received texts from friends and family asking for clinical advice. What if that easy chat-based approach could help everyone with the care they need?

So Blake and a team of health leaders created CirrusMD, with a goal to make getting care from a doctor as easy as texting a friend.

Since then, CirrusMD has grown to improve healthcare access for over 10 million users across all 50 states. Based on a model of Advanced Primary Care, CirrusMD’s multidisciplinary care team of doctors and health coaches delivers 24/7/365 physician-first care and guidance at scale for health plans and large self-insured employers.
