Fostering Health Equity: Recognizing National Minority Health Month 2024

As we commemorate National Minority Health Month, CirrusMD remains focused on creating greater health equity, with chat-first virtual care.

American Heart Month 2024

April marks an important observance in the healthcare calendar: National Minority Health Month. This dedicated month is a chance to highlight our collective efforts to prioritize the well-being of racial and ethnic minority communities and address the health disparities they face.

At CirrusMD, we recognize that health inequalities happen in many forms, from higher disease rates to lack of broadband services to the lack of available providers and brick-and-mortar care. These disparities are often influenced by factors like race and ethnicity, income, geographic location, and environmental conditions, which together build more barriers to accessing quality healthcare, and contribute to unequal health outcomes.

National Minority Health Month is the perfect time to highlight CirrusMD’s Physician-first Care & Guidance model. We're providing scalable, affordable, high-quality healthcare that’s easily accessible for our clients’ members and employees, and helping remove barriers to care.

We aim to solve three of healthcare’s most pervasive problems directly at the point of care: lack of access, lack of relevant information, and lack of care continuity. With a simple chat, our network of high-quality physicians is instantly accessible (in less than 60 seconds), anytime (24/7/365), anywhere in the U.S.

Using chat-first technology lets patients connect with a physician regardless of whether or not they have high-speed internet. This means more people in rural or other locations without broadband can equitably access CirrusMD physicians. Our Spanish translation feature ensures that language is never a barrier to receiving quality care, further enhancing accessibility for diverse populations. And our physicians come from a wide range of cultural and racial backgrounds; more than one third of our physicians are persons of color and more than half are women.

As we commemorate National Minority Health Month, CirrusMD remains focused on creating greater health equity, with chat-first virtual care as the great equalizer. Together, let’s build a healthier world for all.
