The holiday season affords each of us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the year gone by and on those things for which we are truly grateful. It was just over a year ago that I announced that I was joining the amazing team at CirrusMD. As I look in the rear view mirror over the past twelve months I'm struck by an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the people that I work with, the projects that we get to work on (improving healthcare quality and access for millions of Americans, including our veterans), and all that we have accomplished as a team.
It's hard to put my finger on any one thing that I am more grateful for than another. Rather, it's a sense of awareness and pride in all of the little wins, the shared struggles, and the opportunity to forge new friendships and learn from new and different perspectives. It's appreciation for the courage we had to reimagine how care should be delivered and the hard work and dedication that the team has put in to make that vision a reality.
This October we launched Physician-First Care & Guidance, a new category of care delivery that combines the best elements of virtual primary care, benefits navigation, and in-network cost and quality guidance. By creating an always-on and instantly accessible way for people to connect with a real, board certified physician in seconds (never a bot or triage tool) we are ensuring that our members always start their health journey with the trust, training and experience of a doctor. For our physicians, we give them the time, information and tools they need to create great patient experiences and superior outcomes.
Physician-First care & Guidance is just the first of many steps on the path to a more accessible, equitable, and affordable healthcare experience for our members and our plan sponsors. I can't wait to see what we accomplish in the next twelve months.
